Anti-Inflammatory Summer Juice
Not going to lie, whenever I used to catch a cold I would immediately take a bunch of painkillers and cough medicine and try to sleep it off, but with pregnancy I’ve avoided it all especially ibuprofen. So when I caught a yucky bug this week, I had to rely on natural ingredients around the house. Aside from this, I’ve also been taking lots of homemade ginger and Manuka honey tea, eating well, resting and taking baths, which definitely alleviate the symptoms.
This delicious summer juice is filled with anti-inflammatory goodness and lots of vitamin C which your body needs a lot of during recovery, or even on exhausting summer days! It’s also great for mornings when you don’t have much of an appetite and sore throats.
Ingredients
- Kiwi fruit, 1
- Celery, a bunch
- Apple, 1/2
- Freshly grated ginger, 4 tbsp.
- Beet, 1
- Frozen blueberries, 1/3 cup
- Water, 1/2 cup
- Honey
Chop up ingredients and add to blender.
I recommend honey with this recipe if you don’t want too much “earthy” beet and celery flavors.
Blend and serve – that’s it! Feel better soon!
