Spiced Chai Tea
Do you know that this brew is full of polyphenols? Two ingredients in this recipe, cloves and cinnamon, are ranked among the herbs with the highest antioxidant levels. This drink is not only delicious and warms your body right up, it also boosts heart health, improves digestion, increases energy and alertness, good for your skin, reduces inflammation and fights off colds. So let’s get to it!
Ingredients
- Cinnamon, a dash
- Cloves, 1 and 1/2 tsp.
- Star anise, 1
- Fennel powder, a dash
- Black pepper, 1/4 tsp
- Honey, 1 tsp.
- Unsweetened soy milk or regular milk, 1 mug
- Unsweetened cocoa powder, a dash (optional)
Simmer over low heat for around 5 minutes, then enjoy hot or warm!
