Golden Turmeric Milk
What’s your daily intake of fruit? While it’s better to eat whole fruits for their fiber content, sometimes it’s fun to change things up!
Our friend gave us passionfruit from the Amami islands – love the sweet and sour, crunchy textures of these tropical fruits to combat this Japan summer heat!
Ingredients
- Organic unsweetened soy milk, 1 cup
- Turmeric, .5 in. grated or 1 tsp. ground turmeric
- Ginger, .5 in. grated
- Ground black pepper, 1 dash
- Cinnamon, 1 dash
- Nutmeg, 1 dash
- Honey, to taste
Simmer over low heat until the liquid boils, then pour through a sieve.
Serve warm on cold wintry days or chill in the fridge on muggy hot mornings.
