Introduction

Whipped Ricotta with Honey Turkey Bacon

This is an appetizing and filling dip you can serve on the side! Fluffy ricotta pairs perfectly with smokey, sweet and salty bacon that adds that perfect texture. Enjoy with my gluten-free crackers which are also really quick and easy to make

For this recipe, I collaborated with Mega Meat Mart, an online gourmet meat shop that specializes in gluten-free and organic meat. The Jones turkey bacon I used has 70% lower fat content than regular bacon, and contains no MSG and fillers. It’s also naturally smoked without nitrates or preservatives!

Ingredients

  • Gluten-free turkey bacon, 5~6 slices
  • Honey, 1 tbsp.
  • Rosemary, 2 sprigs
  • Dates, a handful, chopped
  • Ground chili pepper, a dash
  • Ricotta, 3/4 cup
  • Olive oil, 1 tsp.
  • Ground black pepper, a dash

Preheat your oven to 200C.

Mix your turkey bacon with honey, rosemary, dates and chili pepper evenly.

Bake for 10 min.

Meanwhile, add ricotta, olive oil and black pepper in a food processor and blend until whipped. The ricotta should stand and have a “bounce” to it. 🙂

When your turkey bacon is done, chop up into small pieces then top it over your whipped ricotta.

Serve with gluten-free crackers and enjoy!
